NKBA Awards – Finalist Best Traditional Kitchen 2011

Grand old masonry villa deserving of a truly spectacular furniture-like Kitchen designed by Joanne Godding. With layers of detail; hand painted finish to the cabinetry, turned posts, beaded framing and reverse 'ogee' edge detail to the benchtops, all add to the character of the kitchen. These details then carried through the rest of the home - formal lounge and bar, bathrooms and laundry. More photos can be viewed of this stunning kitchen in our projects gallery.

‘Aquamarine’ from Kitchen Trends volume 2502

Designed by Joanne Godding. A mix of finishes gives this beach-house kitchen a contemporary, but casual atmosphere. The worn travertine tile flooring is juxtaposed with the high gloss of the coloured glass walls and splashback. The kitchen island accommodates bar stools on two sides to let conversations flow more easily. A scullery, containing the dishwasher, a prep sink, bench and storage cabinets, is hidden behind a door made from the same coloured glass as the walls. As they have a keen interest in cooking and entertaining, the homeowners requested commercial-style appliances.
