“The greatest satisfaction I get is helping clients to put their own expression in their designs with the result of creating a personalized space for themselves, their family and friends.”“Everything happens in the kitchen” is award-winning kitchen designer Joanne Godding’s motto. Kitchens bring people together for all sorts of reasons, and can be a place of great festivity or quiet reflection, says Joanne, whose flair for design, combined with her love of family, friends and food has given her a passion for designing kitchens that has spanned over the past 12 years.
Joanne’s love of design extends beyond kitchens, from architecture, landscape design, furniture and art, all of which influence her work. Her passion and experience, combined with her degree qualifications in marketing, management and landscape architecture, make her one of New Zealand’s leading kitchen designers.
“I believe that I have an appreciation of how different spaces ignite different feelings. My designs reflect the sentiments of each individual client – whether they are looking for comfort, energy or just a quiet place to think.”
Joanne’s greatest strength is her ability to create spaces that reflect her client’s style and personality, making their kitchen a place where they can express and enjoy themselves. Quick to develop a rapport with her clients, Joanne works intuitively to bring together the ideas of the whole family. Working across the spectrum Joanne designs everything from traditional to modern hi-tech kitchens, ensuring that the final design fits with the architecture of the home and the client’s dreams.
